Come explore the fundamentals of painting and weathering realistic vehicles and mechs with our own Seth Amsden. Learn the skills and techniques that he employs when approaching armor. This comprehensive hands on workshop teaching the techniques and theories employed to produce realistic vehicles and weathering effects.
We will cover the following techniques:
- Panel line pre-shading
- Color modulation
- Using airbrush stencils
- Waterslide decals
- True metallics
- Both subtractive and additive weathering
- Environmental effects
We will also cover the usage of enamel based products such as the AK interactive line.
Participants should bring a built, unprimed (bare) vehicle or mech to work on for the class as well as an airbrush set up and painting supplies.
